Our sweet little Jelly Bean arrived last night at about 7:30pm Thai time. She weighs 7lbs 8oz and has full head of brown hair. Her name is Leona Phyllis (Phyllis is in honor of my grandma) and so far we've learned that she likes to marathon nurse followed immediately by marathon sleeping. If we could just get the latch right, this would be great news!
I had an all natural child birth which was about 24 hours long, only a few of those hours were actually in the hospital though. It was the most brutal thing I've ever experienced in my life and I can honesty say that I do not endorse natural child birth. I think I would have given the baby to my doctor if he would have offered me a c-section at just about any point during labor. Luckily he did not and everything turned out fine, but wow! There were several contractions where I thought I might just die and that was before the actual pushing began.

Baby and mom are doing well and resting comfortably. Grandma Marlene arrives tomorrow and we are looking forward to spending some time with her and figuring out this new parenthood thing.
